Flourishing Narrative is an international symposium, organised as part of the book launch of Planting Seeds: Sharing Art and Education, Selected Writings of Somporn Rodboon 1987-2014, to acknowledge and celebrate the works of Somporn Rodboon, a pivotal figure in the Thai art scene. Renowned as a teacher and curator, Somporn has introduced new concepts to the general public through her insightful articles that significantly shape the art landscape. In honoring her multifaceted impact, the event showcased her significant contributions to the Thai art community as an educator, curator, and visionary.

This panel served as a platform for vibrant dialogue among emerging Southeast Asian curators, exploring the present state and future direction of curatorial practices. About Bangkok Art and Culture Centre
The establishment of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre came from the devotion of the network of artists who had patiently proposed this project forward for over 16 years. It was finally approved and opened on 29 July 2008 and officially opened on 19 August 2009. This beautiful monumental building at the Pathumwan junction is a learning centre for modern and contemporary art as well as a place of sparking inspirational creativity. The centre is now under the supervision of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation with tremendous support by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. About Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University
Located at the Wang Tha Phra in Bangkok, the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts was Silpakorn’s inaugural faculty when the University was formally established in 1943.
