Project Coordinator, Mentor and Curator, WLG Incubator – Young Artist Mentorship Program and Exhibition, Wei-Ling Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Organiser: Wei-Ling Gallery

Venue: Wei-Ling Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Date: Annual since 2020

Initiated by Wei-Ling Gallery, the WLG Incubator is a platform dedicated to helping emerging Malaysian artists create a sustainable art practice, allowing them to develop their confidence towards authentic, experimental, and progressive art-making.

Launched in 2020, the WLG Young Artists Collaborative Mentorship Program is a WLG Incubator program that provides the opportunity for emerging artists to be advised and guided by an established artist. Over a six-month program, selected artists work with an established artist as their mentor to discuss, research, explore, experiment, and develop new concepts. The results are presented through the WLG Incubator Young Artists Show at Wei-Ling Contemporary, introducing their work of art to a wider audience.

Amanda was involved in the development and initial ideation of the WLG Incubator, and has been returning every year since its inception to mentor and curate for the Young Artist Mentorship Program and Exhibition.
