Venue: Wei-Ling Contemporary, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

SHE WHO IS WATCHING explores the position of both women and artists as observers. Six international artists share stories and point of views that are personal to that of a woman while addressing significant and pertinent issues of our times; gender, discrimination, migration, and ecology.
SHE WHO IS WATCHING seeks to share the lived experiences of these artists. Each artist offers a more active, critical, and inclusive perspective on the issues that concern us all, whether through installation or video works. As a form of fight against intolerance, the presence of this exhibition in Malaysia aims to spark critical responses to local discussions about sex, racial, and religious inclusivity.
As the Curator of SHE WHO IS WATCHING, Amanda led the end-to-end process of curation, working closely with Wei-Ling Contemporary team and participating artists from diverse cultural backgrounds to foster creative exchanges across nations and disciplines. Her curatorial practice ensured an experimental, critical, and inclusive approach–balancing artistic vision with research-driven insights and inclusive principles–to create engaging, meaningful experiences and discourse of contemporary art.
