The University of Lille's Master's ARTS program, in partnership with the Fine Arts Museum Eugène Leroy in Tourcoing, hosted MUba Remix, a study day and workshop led by artists Tracy Mackenna and Edwin Janssen. In this workshop, selected students explore how a curator or exhibition-maker can play with the concept of a mobile exhibition. They experimented with modular cardboards that came in a variety of sizes, and could be combined, altered, or arranged in a variety of ways. What originally served as an exhibition tool became something more. Reacting to the pieces exhibited in the museum, workshop participants turned the modular cardboards into reactionary pieces, representing and imitating the exhibited artworks to mediate the public and the works.
