Co-curator, Anthology of Metaverses: A Journey of Traversing Realities, group exhibition, Alliance Française Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Co-curator: James Ly
Organiser: Anthology of Metaverses (AoM) in Collaboration with Alliance Française Kuala Lumpur
Venue: Alliance Francaise Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Date: 24 Nov 2022 – 19 Jan 2023
Anthology of Metaverses (AoM) is an online platform, catalogue, and virtual residency that views the internet as a “deterritorialized” space for accessible art presentation. Focusing on Digital Art, Internet Art, and New Aesthetic works in Southeast Asia, AoM aims to encourage critical conversations in contemporary art and screen culture while addressing marginalisation and the lack of historical perspective in the field.
The Alliance Française Kuala Lumpur presentation, A Journey of Traversing Realities, bridges virtual and physical spaces through an interactive exhibition featuring printed archives from AoM’s past shows and recent Virtual Reality (VR) works by Southeast Asian and French artists.
