Aesthetics of Silence is a curated project in collaboration with critically acclaimed international artists from around the world. The show adopts Susan Sontag’s first essay from her famous work, Styles of Radical Will (1969) for its title, in which she examines how silence mediates the role of art as a form of spirituality, particularly in a globalised world.

Aesthetics of Silence centers on the notion of silence in a moment when we are all simultaneously compelled to live remotely. Collectively, the exhibition explores how silence could be interpreted through different forms of art. Participating artists embrace the idea that silence is a condition of change rather than a final occurrence or subject, seeing it as a medium to access a variety of notions such as social injustice, truth, identity, reality, trauma, fragility, and the human psyche.

As a Gallery Associate for Aesthetics of Silence, Amanda collaborated closely with participating artists to ensure smooth exhibition planning and execution. She oversaw timelines, logistics, and technical coordination while supporting the translation of the artistic vision into a cohesive, research-informed presentation.
